Christmas Bauble Cards - No. 2

It has taken me awhile to get back on the computer and show you some more Christmas Bauble cards coloured with Stampin'Up! Blendabilities pens.  I went with a non traditional colour scheme with both of these. I rather like them!

The background stamps used were the background stamp I Love Lace on the Rich Razzleberry card and on the Pumpkin Pie card I used the tree branch stamp from the Holiday catalogue set Beauty of the Season.

I love my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for creating spatter backgrounds!

Thanks for looking.

Fall Fest Birthday Card

Hi! Sorry I've been off the radar for awhile. I've been on holidays and settling into a new job so card creating has taken a bit of a back seat for a few weeks. I'm now back in the saddle so to speak as I needed a card for my F.I.L's birthday this weekend and I wanted to christen one of my new stamp sets - Fall Fest from the current Holiday catalogue.

It's a pretty basic card to create and quick and easy to do as well. The card size is 6x6 inches.

Colours used in card and ink are Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso. The leaves were stamped onto Shimmery White for an added highlight to the card.

The Fall Fest stamp set has some lovely co-ordinating products to go it. On this card I added one of the cute Autumn Wooden Elements. You can see all the products on page 46 of the Holiday catalogue.

The sentiment comes from the stamp set Big News 134018.

Drop by again soon to see what we will be creating in my Christmas Extravaganza classes this month.

Christmas Bauble Cards - No 1

Time sure gets away from me sometimes especially when I am on holidays! I reckon it is alright to start showing off some of the
Christmas cards I have made. These Christmas Bauble cards are from a series I made for my display poster used at the past few papercrafting shows I have taken part in. I'll show you a couple each post.

This stamp is so lovely to use with the Blendabilities pens. I had a wonderful time colouring these cards. Here is the first one of my cards.

Do you like the silver "sprigs"? They are from untwirling the silver bakers twine. And here is the second card for this post.

Like I said you can have so much fun colouring this stamp! The sparkle does not show up well in this pic but the white areas have been glossed over with dazzling details glitter glue. The pic below shows the sparkle a bit better.

You should come back again soon and see my other colour options!

Card Monthly Class - Stampin'Up! Work of Art

Time to give you details about my Card Monthly classes this month. Things have been a bit topsy turvy here as we are in the process of painting the lounge and dining areas, which is where I teach classes! We will be in the kitchen this month!

For Card Monthly in September you will create 5 cards using the Stampin'Up! set "Work of Art". I've created 5 different occasion cards to demonstrate how to get the most out of this set. It always pays to do a mental calculation before purchasing a stamp set to see if you can get maximum use out of it. If you can come up with five different occasions or techniques using the stamp set then it will be a worthwhile addition to your stamp collection.

Here's a teaser of some of the cards for this class.

Class dates - Thursday September 18 at 7.30pm
                     Friday September 19 at 10am

Class fee - $20

Giggle Greetings Cards and Blendabilities.

I have had this stamp set - Giggle Greetings 131062, for quite awhile - well before Blendabilities came along and I'd always put off using the set as was unsure on how to colour them using markers only. Well that is no longer a problem now that I have Stampin'Up! Blendabilities markers! Colouring is breeze and so much fun! These cards are so much fun to give and always get a chuckle from the recipient!

The clean and simple matts make the stamped image the card feature and mean a full card set can be created in no time at all.

And here are some alternative colours that I tried out when I was running a Blendabilities class last weekend.
I quite like the dog coloured using Smoky Slate pens. the bowl is coloured using Night of Navy pens.

Thanks for looking!

A Much Better Version of my Original Attempt at a Concertina Fold Card!

As promised here is a much better version of the Concertina Card I posted here. That was the one I made while away on a scrapbooking retreat last month. Here is a far better result in my opinion. What do you think? Using the Basic Grey ink pad makes a huge difference!

I am much happier with this version of the card!

Concertina Fold Card - Stampin'Up! Sea Street

Here is a much better version of the concertina fold card than the one I posted a few posts back. This is the style of card featuring in my technique classes this month.

So here is the card front.

I originally designed the style and colours of this card to be a Father's Day card as an option for my class ladies. Father's Day in Australia is the first weekend of September. However as I already have several Father's day cards made up and not requiring more I made the card into a male birthday card but my class ladies can opt for a Father's Day version if so desired. The cute little crab and lobster stamps come from a stamp set called Sea Street.

When you open the card this is the inside!

This card highlights another way to use the scallop tag topper punch. there is nothing better than finding another use for our stash of gadgets!!!!

How bright and lovely is the Designer Series Paper used here. It's title is Maritime.
The sentiment stamps come from Really Good Greetings 130330 for the card front and the inside words are from a new set titled And Many More 134273. If you love Teeny Tiny Sentiments and always reach for it when making a card then you will find this stamp set just as useful!

I am running an extra class if you would like to learn how to create one of these cards.
Saturday September 6th at 1.30pm
Class fee $20

How cute is the inside of this card! The lovely patterned paper comes from the new paper stack All Abloom.

Kinda Eclectic Standing Shapes Card

This week I am going to share with you the standing shapes cards we are creating in my card technique classes. Due to demand I have added another class this coming Thursday night August 7th at 7.30pm.

This card has been one of the most popular for my class ladies to make.

I love the floating butterflies! So this is the card inner side and below is the card outer cover.

And here is closer look at the stamped butterflies. I have made the floating images double sided so as you can view them from either direction.

The butterflies come from the Stampin'Up! stamp set Kinda Eclectic, which we received as part of our kits when we attended the recent South Pacific Stampin'Up! Convention. I do like the new In Colours used here. The combination of Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss are terrific.

If you would like to come to class on Thursday night email me - to reserve a place.
