Add a Little Glitz Christmas Card

My team, The Inksationals are a fabulous team of talented stampers. We have wonderful times at our team meetings and we have created terrific friendships. This aspect is one of the great things about being a Stampin'Up! demonstrator.

We had our team Christmas Night last week and we made Christmas cards for each team member. Here is my card that I created for my lovely downline.

The stamp set is Add a Little Glitz from the current 2018 Holiday catalogue. I coloured in the parcel using the new Stampin'Blends.  The colours used are Cherry Cobbler and Bermuda Bay.

Card size is 4 x 4 inches.

Winter Wonder Christmas Card

Wow does time fly by. I've been focusing on doing daily Facebook pots and sadly my blog has been left behind. Well now to fix that up before Christmas.

Here is a card that I CASED from one posted by Amy Koenders. I loved the simplicity of the whole layout. I changed the colours and paper to Real Red and used paper from the Quilted Christmas 6x6 paper stack.

The Winter Wonder embossing folder creates a lovely feature for the card. The snowflakes are die cut using the Seasonal Layers thinlits from the Annual Catalogue. I cut them from Shimmery White card.

The sentiment is from Flurry of Wishes also from the Annual Catalogue. I embossed it with white embossing powder.

Stampin'Up! Delightful Daisy DSP Card

I am so in love with this gorgeous Delightful Daisy Designer series Paper from this years annual catalogue. I don't normally get overly excited about papers ( well maybe a little bit ) but really do love this one. The designs are so vibrant and pretty!

I've seen several cards on Pinterest using this particular paper as a card front and love how it looks. It is also so easy to create, so great for a card in a hurry.

It is so pretty and happy to look at! No matter the greeting receiving this card would brighten anyone's day.
This greeting is from the stamp set Rose Wonder, my go to set for greetings.

You can see all the other designs in the Delightful Daisy DSP by clicking on the image below. And they are all lovely!

Swan Lake Card

I'd been to the ballet to see The Nutcracker and the next day I was sitting at my desk when the Swan Lake stamp set caught my eye. A recent order from Stampin'Up! had arrived and it included the new background stamp Sheet Music. Well I put my World of Ballet CD on and created a card using this combination of stamps to create my own "Swan Lake" card inspired by the ballet.

A bit of fussy cutting required but well worth the effort.

Adding some Smoky Slate marker along the wing line adds some depth to the images.

If you'd like to purchase this stamp set, click on the images below to go to my online store. It's Bonus Dollars Month, so for every $90 Aust you order you receive a $9 Bonus voucher to use in August.

Cheers for now!

July Technique Class - Glossy Cardstock Backgrounds

When the new Stampin'Up! 2017-2018 Annual catalogue came into my hot little hands my whoops of joy for new products was when I saw that glossy card stock had made it back into the catalogue. I was disappointed when Stampin'Up! retired glossy card a few years back as there are so may cool techniques you can use it for. Now it is returned,  we are going to focus in this months classes on how to create pretty backgrounds for your cards and scrapbook pages.

My first sample was inspired by a card in an article on the return of glossy card in our quarterly Stampin'Up! demonstrator magazine. ( One of the great perks of being a demonstrator!) I was intrigued as to how the card had been created so had a play and here are my first samples for the class.

As well as this technique we will cover two other techniques using glossy card and Stampin'Up! products.

Interested? Here are the dates -

Thursday July 20 at 7.30pm
Friday July 21 at 10am
Saturday July 22 at 1.30pm

Class fee $20 and you will make three cards. All materials provided. Please bring a paper trimmer.

Classes are held in Mt Waverley.
