Last Day of Sale-a-bration for 2018

A card to sign off Sale-a-bration for 2018 which ends at midnight tonight - March 31. It has been a fun three months of creativity using the lovely Sale-a-bration free products.

This card is one I made for my embossing paste classes this month using the Eclectic Expressions stamp set that was a free set in the second round of Sale-a-bration offers.

It made a terrific masculine style card using these colours of Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso and Marina Mist. I pulled out my old Stampin'Up! colour coach cards to come up with the colour combination. A very handy tool that used to be in the Annual Catalogue.

With the embossing paste I was intrigued to see that the paste picked up the ink colours as I wiped it back and forth across the stencil giving the card a truly unique appearance.

If you like the stamp set you have until midnight tonight to earn it for free with a $90 Aust order. Click on the Shop Now button to go shopping!

Cheers!

Eclipse Cards - February Stampin'Up! Class

Getting my new blog site up and running is taking a bit longer than anticipated but it will happen soon! For now I will continue posting on my current site and this post is all about my February Classes. This month I am very excited to be teaching how to create an Eclipse Card. These cards became extremely popular at the end of last year after the solar eclipse happened in the northern hemisphere. I love how you can create a really personalised card using this technique. I know I am going to have a lot of fun creating my class samples for this class and sharing them with my class attendees.

Here is one of my class samples using the Stampin'Up! stamp set Wood Words.

Would you like to learn how to create this style of card? Can you think of an occasion when one of these cards would be perfect to give? Then book into my February classes.

February Class Dates - Thursday February 22 at 7.30pm
                                     Friday February 23 at 10am
                                     Saturday February 24 at 1.30pm

Class fee $30 if using my tools and adhesives, $25 if you bring your own tool kit (trimmer, adhesives, scissors etc.)

Four Panel Card - Stampin'Up! Lift Me Up Bundle & Naturally Eclectic DSP

Another birthday in our household, this time my eldest son! Time was on my side, so on on my day off I got to and created this card for him instead of reaching into my big box of class and blog samples.

I ordered the bundle of Lift Me up stamps and Up and Away thinlits last year when they were released in the 2017 Occasions catalogue. Thank goodness they carried over into the current Annual catalogue! Due to my very bad habit of ordering stamps I love and ordering too many to be able to spend my time creating with, the bundle has sat on my desk for a year awaiting it's turn for stardom on my blog.

Yesterday I saw my chance and went for it. By happy coincidence when searching through my Designer Series Papers I found that there is a sheet of perfectly patterned paper in the Naturally Eclectic pack of DSP that works spot on with the hot air balloons in the Lift Me Up stamp set.

The paper has the appearance of water colouring , so you get the effect without all the effort! When stamping the balloon I inked it all up in Emerald Envy then with a tissue wiped away the ink from the basket area and added Early Espresso marker to get the two colour image. The same process for all the other balloon images.
Also check out the Glitter Epoxy Shapes used as an accent. The glitter in them is blue and green perfect for my card. You will find these fun new accents in the 2018 Occasions catalogue.

Here is my card in it's full inner four panel glory. The final panel has the hot air balloon die cut using the Up and Away thinlit die.

To make the card extra special for DS I added the banner from the Guy Greetings stamp set and added "son" from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. Of course the card was a big hit with my eldest. I'll have to come up with another card just as worthy for my youngest son's birthday next month now!

I really enjoy making the Four Panel Cards as you can use so many of your ideas for a card on the one card! Try one out some time and see what you think. I'd love to know how you go so leave a comment below.

Cheers!

Stampin'Up! Fresh Florals Four Panel Card

I am currently in the process of creating a new blog site under my own domain but it is not quite up to scratch yet so I thought I had better a get blog post out to everyone for the New Year.

January is always busy for us as it is our month of birthdays. First one to happen is my daughter and being on January 4 it is always a rush to get a card made in time post Christmas celebrations and happenings. Despite my best intentions ( the new blog has taken up way too much time for a non technofile like me!) I had to resort to using one of my class cards from last year. Always handy to have that option and often I will have a card made for classes that I have bookmarked for a later use further down the track.

So a pretty four panel card using the Frsh Florals DSp became the required card for this years birthday celebration.

Any of the four colour ways available in this suite would work beautifully to create this card. I've chosen the Tranquil Tide option for this card. The stamp set that co-ordinates with these papers is Floral Phases. Perfect for a gorgeous card. DD approved so all good!

Happy New Year!

Janine
