Four Panel Card - Stampin'Up! Lift Me Up Bundle & Naturally Eclectic DSP

Another birthday in our household, this time my eldest son! Time was on my side, so on on my day off I got to and created this card for him instead of reaching into my big box of class and blog samples.

I ordered the bundle of Lift Me up stamps and Up and Away thinlits last year when they were released in the 2017 Occasions catalogue. Thank goodness they carried over into the current Annual catalogue! Due to my very bad habit of ordering stamps I love and ordering too many to be able to spend my time creating with, the bundle has sat on my desk for a year awaiting it's turn for stardom on my blog.

Yesterday I saw my chance and went for it. By happy coincidence when searching through my Designer Series Papers I found that there is a sheet of perfectly patterned paper in the Naturally Eclectic pack of DSP that works spot on with the hot air balloons in the Lift Me Up stamp set.

The paper has the appearance of water colouring , so you get the effect without all the effort! When stamping the balloon I inked it all up in Emerald Envy then with a tissue wiped away the ink from the basket area and added Early Espresso marker to get the two colour image. The same process for all the other balloon images.
Also check out the Glitter Epoxy Shapes used as an accent. The glitter in them is blue and green perfect for my card. You will find these fun new accents in the 2018 Occasions catalogue.

Here is my card in it's full inner four panel glory. The final panel has the hot air balloon die cut using the Up and Away thinlit die.

To make the card extra special for DS I added the banner from the Guy Greetings stamp set and added "son" from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. Of course the card was a big hit with my eldest. I'll have to come up with another card just as worthy for my youngest son's birthday next month now!

I really enjoy making the Four Panel Cards as you can use so many of your ideas for a card on the one card! Try one out some time and see what you think. I'd love to know how you go so leave a comment below.

Cheers!

Janine
